Know About
Theatre & Art Programs

CESCI has organized numerous theatre festivals and workshops since 1997, hosting artists nationally and internationally. Issues relevant to ordinary people, such as drought, alcoholism, and domestic violence, have been addressed for social change. Previous festivals included titles like “Artists and Activists in Search against Poverty and Violence,” “Children and Theatre towards a New World,” and “Theatre for Nonviolence and Peace.” Using art as a tool, CESCI encourages theatre professionals to tackle the issues faced by marginalized communities. Theatre serves as a metaphor for society and an effective means to promote good governance. Artists and activists trained in CESCI's programmes return to their communities committed to advancing these issues.
