CESCI Support Association Switzerland
The CESCI Support Association in Switzerland is the partner organizaation to the CESCI Centre in Madurai. It has charitable status and supports the Centre financially and otherwise. The Association also supports the movement Ekta Parishad and raises awareness of its work in Switzerland and outside. Additionally, it promotes the transfer of specialist skills and socio-cultural exchange between the two countries.
To achieve these goals, the Association organizes exchange programs and educational trips from Europe, and acts as a contact point for public events. It collaborates with related organizations, conducts media outreach, and raises funds for projects.
Members pay an annual membership fee, additionally, members can support various projects, and commit to ongoing sponsorships, such as sponsoring a social activist in India, or become a benefactor by including CESCI in their legacy. Active members work on many fronts: arranging trips to India and workshops, organizing the annual theatre festival/workshop at CESCI, accompanying Ekta Parishad on Padyatras (peaceful marches for social change), selling fair trade products, and so forth.
